"The article gets very specific about where diamond investors will probably get the best returns in the future," said Paul Buchanan, President of Bella Ideale Diamonds Consulting Services. Details are offered about the size, quality and color of diamonds that should be bought based on the size of an investor's portfolio and tolerance for risk.
Red, blue and pink diamonds are the most expensive and have demonstrated the highest price appreciation of approximately 15% or more annually. In comparison, gold has appreciated at an 18% annual rate for the past 10 years. Larger, higher quality white diamonds in the 3 carat size and larger have produced annual returns of 8% to 11%. The Dow and S&P 500 have achieved less than 3% for the past 10 years.

Diddy, also known as Sean Jean Combs, also known as Puff Daddy, unveiled a diamond-encrusted version of a popular portable media player at an after party for the MTV Video Music Awards. The item was covered with 120 diamonds.
What did the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Shiloh Nouvel, receive when she was born? She received one of the most extravagant baby gifts to date. Shiloh received a diamond-encrusted pacifier worth $17,000. The pacifier is white gold with 279 diamonds totaling over three carats. Although not meant for actual use due to safety reasons for the infant, the diamond-encrusted pacifier is sure to bring the store that gave the gift to the Angelina and Brad much attention.
Drivers Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen have the ultimate in helmets. For the 2008 Monaco Grand Prix, both drivers have diamond-encrusted helmets. The helmets include hundreds of handcrafted diamonds.
